Michael presently serves as the US Country Manager for OW Offshore S.L., overseeing all offshore wind development in the United States. He also serves as the Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”) for OW North America, responsible for all US business operations including OW’s three offshore wind projects, namely the SouthCoast Wind Project that holds BOEM lease OCS-A 0521, the Bluepoint Wind Project that holds BOEM lease OCS-A 0537, and the Golden State Wind Project that holds BOEM lease OCS-P 0564. Michael began his senior executive career with SouthCoast, f/k/a Mayflower Wind, a joint venture between Shell New Energies and Ocean Winds in 2019 as the CFO, shifting to the CEO role at the end of 2020, and returned to the SouthCoast CEO role in addition to his OW duties, on an interim basis at the end of March 2024 after OW purchased Shell’s stake in SouthCoast. In late 2021, Michael took the helm of OW North America as its CEO. Michael was previously UK Finance Director for EDP Renewables, one of the two sponsors of Ocean Winds, a role that included oversight of key aspects of the Moray East Project, a 950-MW offshore project off the northeast Scottish coast.
