Kevin Smith

Kevin Smith is a Principal Geoscientist with 24 years of experience at Fugro. Fugro performs geotechnical investigations, geophysical and environmental surveys that are used to plan and design wind turbine  and power substation foundations and cable routes. Fugro provides consultancy services based on those data and also provides monitoring and inspection services during the construction and operational phases of wind farms. The planning and engineering surveys for US wind farms typically take 2 to 5 years to complete and involve several types of vessels. Those surveys are used to manage risk related to ground conditions and obtain project approvals of key milestones including the Construction and Operation Plan and Facility Design Reports. Mr. Smith is responsible for designing and managing those surveys and providing related consultancy services.
