Laura Mancuso serves as a Senior Project Manager-Historic Preservation with more than 19 years of professional experience. Laura holds a Master’s in Historic Preservation from the University of Maryland, College Park and meets the Qualifications for the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Architectural History (per 36 CFR 61). She has served as Technical Lead for multiple Historic Resources Visual Effects Assessments (HRVEAs) and Historic Property Treatment Plans (HPTPs) for offshore wind energy projects in the Northeastern U.S. Prior to joining EDR, Laura served as National Practice Leader and Director of Cultural Resources at national telecommunications consulting firms and Deputy State Historic Preservation Officer for the Connecticut State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO). She has reviewed thousands of proposed projects throughout the United States for compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) and has expertise in complex consultations regarding potential effects on historic properties.
